101 American English Idioms is created to assist bridge the gap between “meaning” and “thrust” of American colloquialisms by supplying a scenario along with a graphic illustration of that scenario, to ensure that the imagery created by the expression could be felt, rather than merely learned as a stock definition.

An index is included to facilitate recall and location of the expressions.
